New product extension significantly increases the rotational life to 100,000 cycles to meet higher durability demands from frequent users
RIVERSIDE, Calif., May 12, 2025 - Bourns, Inc., a leading manufacturer and supplier of electronic components for power, protection, and sensing solutions, today announced that the Company has released a product extension of its popular PDB241-GTR Series guitar potentiometers. This extension significantly increases the rotational life to 100,000 cycles, supporting the high-use demands of dedicated performers. With this extension, Bourns is also making a standard option available that offers a rotational life of 15,000 cycles.
In addition to the PDB241-GTR Series 100,000-cycle rotational life, it features low torque of 10 to 45 g-cm, a -10°C to +70°C operating temperature range as well as metal knurled and metal plain shaft options. These capabilities help ensure that when the guitar potentiometer is used in an instrument, the player gets the advantage of using a smooth-working component that more easily allows them to achieve the sound/effect they are trying to create on their guitar. This guitar potentiometer product extension is specifically suited for electric and bass guitars with thick bodies, and is engineered to meet players’ enhanced quality, reliability and durability expectations.
The Bourns® PDB241-GTR Series product extension is available now and is RoHS* compliant. For more detailed product information, please see: bourns.com/products/potentiometers/commercial-panel-controls.
