Description:
This reference design for TI CAN transceivers offers board-level Bourns solutions for IEC 61000-4-2 ESD, IEC 61000-4-4 EFT, and IEC 61000-4-5 surge protection. Included in the reference design are four distinct Bourns solutions, which help designers meet various levels of protection and provide excellent protection for TI CAN transceivers. The Bourns protection solutions provided are based on combinations of TVS diodes, TBUs, MOVs, Thyristors and GDTs.
Features:
- Easy, direct connections to banana jacks and test pads
- Interchange four 5-V supply TI transceivers: TCAN1042 and TCAN1051 (5 Mbps FD); SN65HVD267 (2 Mbps FD); SN65HVD257 (1 Mbps FD)
- Combined technology protects transceiver from overvoltage and overcurrent
