Riverside, Calif., May 4, 2009

Dear Customer,
In furtherance of Bourns’ statement issued May 1, 2009, Bourns, Inc, and its subsidiaries (“Bourns”) continue to review information and recommendations being provided by public health authorities in connection with the recent outbreak of the H1N1Influenza virus.
Currently, Bourns offices and manufacturing facilities, excluding those located in Mexico, remain open and operations are normal. At this time, Bourns is not aware of any of its employees contracting the H1N1 virus.
Bourns’ subsidiary, Bourns de Mexico, including its facilities located in Tijuana and Chihuahua, Mexico are closed May 4 and May 5, 2009 by direction of the Mexico government. The Mexico facilities are scheduled to reopen on May 6, 2009, subject to change based on the local conditions and governmental orders. Travel in and out of Mexico by Bourns’ employees is not anticipated until the facilities reopen. Last week, Bourns expedited shipments of its Mexico-made products to minimize disruption to the customer supply chain during this government-directed business shutdown.
Bourns is monitoring the situation closely, including 1) the continuous evaluation of potential supply chain alternatives, 2) the safety of its employees and 3) the continuity of supplies to its customers.
As advised last week, Bourns issued guidelines to all of its employees worldwide based on recommendations from public health authorities, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The CDC guidelines can be found online at: https://www.cdc.gov/swineflu/.
Bourns will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as required. For further information, customers should contact their local Bourns representative.
Yours truly,
BOURNS, INC.
