Bourns Acquires Assets of J.W. Miller Division of Bell Industries

RIVERSIDE, Calif, May 1, 2006 - Bourns, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has acquired substantially all of the assets of the JW Miller Magnetics Division of Bell Industries, Inc. from Bell. Founded in 1924, J.W. Miller Magnetics is a well-known supplier of custom and standard magnetic components with capabilities to meet short run or high volume production requirements. Products include a complete line of high-quality coils, chokes, inductors and transformers in both surface mount and through-hole configurations. According to Jim Somers, General Manager of the Bourns Magnetics Business, this acquisition significantly strengthens Bourns position as a leading supplier of magnetic products and solutions for the electronics industry throughout the world. Mr. Somers said that following a brief transition period, Bourns intends to move the JW Miller Business from Gardena, California to Bourns Riverside, California facility.
