Bourns® Planar Transformer took the discrete award in the Taiwan region and Bourns® SRP Series Shielded Power Inductors earned the Asia region award
RIVERSIDE, Calif., December 5, 2025 - Bourns, Inc., a leading manufacturer and supplier of electronic components for power, protection, and sensing solutions, today announced that two of its products have won the 2025 EE Awards Asia in the discrete component category.
- Bourns® Planar Transformers won the award in the Taiwan region, recognized for its compact, low-profile design with planar copper foil windings that deliver superior thermal performance and higher efficiency in a compact footprint. These transformers are excellent solutions for DC-DC converters.
- Bourns® SRP Series Shielded Power Inductors won the award in the Asia region, and were singled out for their ultra-low DC resistance, strong magnetic shielding and high saturation current. These inductors offer enhanced reliability and are particularly well-suited for broad applicability in telecom, and consumer electronics.

The EE Awards Asia acknowledge companies and individuals who have made significant advancements in the electronics industry and are bestowed by AspenCore’s Taiwan/Asia team that represents its EE Times and EDN publication brands. The award ceremony was held at the Grand Mayfull Hotel in Taipei, Taiwan on December 5th.
These Bourns® products were selected by a team of senior analysts along with a global community of users. The EE Asia Award was presented to Clement Shu, Vice President of Sales, Bourns Asia Pacific, on December 5th at the ceremony in Taipei, Taiwan. “This recognition highlights Bourns' exceptional performance, and is a testament to the dedication of our team and the trust placed in us by our customers and partners,” said Shu.
