RIVERSIDE, Calif., June 12, 2025
As you may already be aware, a fire broke out at Bourns, Inc.’s Mexican subsidiary located in Tijuana yesterday (June 11, 2025) early morning before most of the employees arrived for the day shift.
The fire was located in the metal plating room and the damage is limited to a small portion of this area. The response was swift, emergency procedures were adhered to, and no employees were harmed.
The plant will contract with a local plating company to provide interim service while repairs are underway to the metal plating equipment. We will contact any customers impacted by this change from in-house plating to using an outside plating vendor.
We can confirm that there are currently no identified logistical issues resulting from this event and no need to reroute or modify any delivery schedules. We do not anticipate any interruption to our currently scheduled deliveries of finished products to our customers.
We thank you for your continued trust in Bourns.
Best Regards,
Bourns, Inc.
