Bourns now offers its PEC11J series encoders with a 24 pulses per 360 ° rotation feature and no detent option
RIVERSIDE, Calif., May 20, 2025 - Bourns, Inc., a leading manufacturer and supplier of electronic components for power, protection, and sensing solutions, today announced an extension of its PEC11J Incremental Encoder product series that adds capabilities that increase the device’s rotational life. Designers can now order PEC11J Encoders with a 24 pulses per 360 ° rotation option and with a no detent option. The rotational pulses feature meets the measurement requirements in a growing range of customer applications, while the no detent option delivers smoother, more continuous movement for applications that need precise, incremental adjustments.
The advanced features designed into the PEC11J Series remain available, including its IP40 rating, 100,000 rotational cycle rating and the -10 °C to +70 °C operating temperature range. Additional value-added features consist of an optional momentary switch function with standard and high actuation force capabilities that allow ease of adaption to application-specific needs and different environments – all in a rugged, compact surface mount package. The combination of new and existing features and options available with Bourns® PEC11J Encoders makes them particularly beneficial motion measurement solutions for applications such as professional audio equipment and lighting consoles, white goods, non-critical medical** and diagnostic equipment, test and measurement equipment and industrial automation controls.
