Last month we informed you that due to an increase in COVID-19 cases in Fujian and neighboring provinces our plant operated by Bourns (Xiamen) Ltd. (“BXL”) in the city of Xiamen, Fujian province, the People’s Republic of China was under the risk of a 14-day government mandated lockdown.
We would like to inform you that the situation has been resolved in a positive way. The city of Xiamen is now classified as a COVID-19 low risk area. Xiamen authorities reported that there have been zero COVID-19 cases since September 29, 2021. Nearly all of BXL’s employees are now back to work with only five employees remaining under pre-caution quarantine due to COVID-19 outbreaks in their residential communities.
We are pleased to report that BXL successfully managed this situation without any major impact to its production or shipping plan.
BXL and Bourns will remain vigilant in their efforts to keep our employees safe and healthy and should the COVID-19 situation change in the future in a manner that affects BXL, Bourns senior management again will promptly get involved.
