Bourns® Model PEC11J encoders feature an IP 40 rating and 100,000 cycle rotational life with switch options that allow adaptation to application-specific needs and environments
RIVERSIDE, Calif., June 26, 2023 - Bourns, Inc., a leading manufacturer and supplier of electronic components for power, protection, and sensing solutions, announced today it is releasing the PEC11J series encoder as a drop-in replacement for the discontinued ALPS Model EC11J Series. This modified configuration of the Bourns® PEC11S series should enable customers to continue to support existing applications with no changes to their mechanical or electrical layouts. Testing is recommended to ensure compatibility with each customer's specific application. Samples are available upon request for testing.
Bourns® Model PEC11J Series encoders feature an IP 40 rating, a 100,000 rotational cycle rating and a -10 °C to +70 °C operating temperature range in a rugged, compact surface mount design. The encoders also offer an optional momentary switch function with standard and high actuation force capabilities that allow ease of adaption to application-specific needs and different environments. These features and capabilities make this product well-suited for a very wide range of applications including professional audio equipment and lighting consoles, white goods, low to medium risk medical* and diagnostic equipment, test and measurement equipment and industrial automation controls.
The introduction of the Model PEC11J Series is one of many new enhanced products planned by Bourns that will integrate advanced features and offer high reliability operation to help designers meet next-generation application requirements.
