The latest Model PWR Series helps meet increased reliability and stability requirements for discharge/pre-charge circuits in solar power and motor control applications
RIVERSIDE, Calif., January 6, 2025 - Bourns, Inc., a leading manufacturer and supplier of electronic components for power, protection, and sensing solutions, today introduced its latest family of SMD wirewound resistors. Featuring high power ratings (up to 10 W) and high pulse withstanding capabilities, the Bourns® Model PWR6927/8030/8937/A247/B053 Series is designed to help designers meet the increased reliability and stability required in discharge and pre-charge circuits used in solar power, motor control, telecommunication, Switched-Mode Power Supply (SMPS), and Energy Storage System (ESS) applications.
Based on the series’ advanced SMD architecture and its higher surge withstanding capability, Bourns’ new family of wirewound resistors delivers a lower inductive solution that reduces interference with magnetic fields compared to standard through-hole, thick film resistors, thin film resistors, and conventional wirewound resistors. In addition, the models in this series are UL 94V-0 and Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) compliant that aid in meeting various application safety requirements.
The Bourns® Model PWR6927/8030/8937/A247/B053 Series is available now and is RoHS* compliant with a halogen free** option. For more detailed product information, please see: www.bourns.com/products/resistors/wirewound-resistors.
