Designed with ferrite core and ferrite shield for low magnetic field radiation, new inductor series is ideal for applications where low noise operation is essential

RIVERSIDE, Calif., February 10, 2025 - Bourns, Inc., a leading manufacturer and supplier of electronic components for power, protection, and sensing solutions, today announced its new Model SRR6838A Series Shielded Power Inductors. Bourns’ new AEC-Q200 compliant, automotive-grade power inductors give designers of high reliability consumer, industrial and telecom applications an expanded range of inductive options.

Designed with a ferrite core and ferrite shield that delivers low magnetic field radiation, the advanced features of Bourns’ new power inductors make them a superior power conversion solution for applications that need to operate in low noise environments such as in automotive driver assistant, infotainment, and lighting systems. In addition, the Model SRR6838A Series provides excellent inductance and heating current capabilities featuring an inductance range up to 100 μH and heating current up to 6.8 A. These shielded inductors also offer a broad operating temperature range of -55 °C to +150 °C.

**Bourns considers a product to be "halogen free" if (a) the Bromine (Br) content is 900 ppm or less; (b) the Chlorine (Cl) content is 900 ppm or less; and (c) the total Bromine (Br) and Chlorine (Cl) content is 1500 ppm or less.
