Dear Valued Customers of Bourns,
Bourns is aware of the recent new power restrictions in China due to increasing power demand and local governments needing to ensure they meet their quotas for emissions reductions.
At present, our factories in Xiamen, Fujian Province and Dongguan, Guangdong Province, are receiving the power they need to operate close to maximum capacity. We will continue to monitor the situation and take every reasonable measure to minimize the impact on our manufacturing operations as power constraints are introduced in these locations.
Our teams have been working on implementing backup power generation in the event we are required to reduce the level of power obtained from the public power grid to help minimize disruption to our production.
Bourns is currently also surveying its supply chain to determine the impact of probable power reductions in China on their production schedules and overall production capacity.
Due to the dynamic situation and the potential ripple effect through the supply chain, we will be providing periodic updates on the impact of power reductions in China on Bourns.
Please contact your Bourns representative for details relevant to your pending purchase orders and forecast.
Yours truly,
BOURNS, INC.
