Additional shaft length options to Bourns® PEC11S Series encoders give designers a more robust solution that helps maintain stability and resists environmental stresses

RIVERSIDE, Calif., July 11, 2025 - Bourns, Inc., a leading manufacturer and supplier of electronic components for power, protection, and sensing solutions, today announced an extension to its PEC11S Series incremental encoder product line to now offer a 25 mm shaft length option. In addition, designers now can order Bourns® PEC11S encoders with a 25 mm flat-type shaft length option. The availability of these shaft selections gives designers enhanced load-bearing support for better application stability or to withstand environmental stresses.

The advanced features designed into the PEC11S Series remain available, including its IP40 rating, 15,000 rotational cycle life and the -40 °C to +70 °C operating temperature range. The additional and existing features and options available with Bourns® PEC11S encoders make them particularly beneficial as motion measurement solutions for applications such as audio-visual equipment, consumer electronic appliances, radios, musical instruments and communications equipment.
