At the China International Battery Fair 2018, Bourns will display its latest series of high current mini-breaker thermal cutoff (TCO) products engineered to provide superior overtemperature and overcurrent protection for notebook and tablet PC battery cells. The new Bourns® Model AC series builds on the success of the Model AA series launched in January 2017 offering multiple improved features to meet the next-generation protection needs of denser, higher capacity Lithium-Ion (Li-ion) battery cells. In addition, the Model AC series offers a fifth trip temperature option of 90 °C, and is capable of carrying up to 20 A at 60 °C, making it the highest current-carrying TCO device Bourns offers.
Attendees will also see Bourns' surface mount SA series TCO devices. The Bourns® Model SA series is designed to help battery pack suppliers greatly reduce lead times and assembly costs. These are the latest products added to Bourns' already broad line-up of TCO products proven in more than 2 billion existing battery cells
