Bourns has previously notified you of an impact on our associated production site for Magnetic Components in Seri Kembangan / Kuala Lumpur from July 1st, 2021 Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) issued by the Malaysia Government. Due to July 1, 2021 EMCO, Bourns' associated site was only able to maintain partial operations under the exempt status.
Malaysia Government has issued a new EMCO pursuant to which our associated site has to stop its operations all together including all shipment activities until 16th of July 2021. We are currently expecting that operations will be allowed to resume on 17th of July 2021.
Our Planner Team in Taiwan is working to determine the possible impact of this new complete shutdown of Malaysia associated site on the open orders backlog. We aim to communicate delays in support of your orders as quickly as possible via our global Customer Service Team.
