RIVERSIDE, Calif., January 20, 2016 - Bourns, Inc., a leading manufacturer and supplier of electronic components, today announced it has expanded its professional audio and professional lighting portfolios with the release of two new products. Working closely with leading audio, lighting and staging equipment manufacturers, Bourns was able to respond quickly to their compact performance needs by adding these latest solutions to the company's newly-announced Pro Lighting component product line.
The Bourns® Model ES14 rotary optical encoder is optimized for use as jog shuttle in audio mixing or light mixing consoles, and can also be used as a position sensor in motorized stage lights or motorized camera mounts. With an enhanced design for longer life and high speed operation, Bourns' new rotary optical encoder innovatively combines a compact design fitted with ball bearings.
The Bourns® Model PSM60 motorized slide potentiometer is designed for smaller, space-constrained mixers. This 60 mm slide potentiometer features a high-quality motor and touch sense lever making it well-suited for Pro Audio mixing consoles, broadcast consoles and automated Pro Lighting consoles and controllers.
"At Bourns, we are able to provide the support and products that meet Pro Audio and Pro Lighting designers' needs. Release of these two new components will help them compete effectively as these expanding markets continue their rapid growth," said Chuck Manzano, Application Engineer at Bourns, Inc. "We designed both new models with the target of meeting high performance specs and space constraints of next-generation platforms, particularly in Pro Lighting mixing consoles."
Available in 8, 16, 32 and 64 PPR resolutions, Model ES14 offers up to 100,000,000 revolutions of cycle life for applications with long deployments and high reliability demands. Model PSM60 meets the performance specs of the previously released PSM01 in a smaller 60 mm package.
