Bourns Expands Inductive Component Line
RIVERSIDE, Calif. -- April 2, 2002 -- Bourns, Inc., a leading manufacturer of electronic components and integrated solutions, today announced the addition of nine new products to its Inductive Component product line. The three new Chip Inductors and six new SMD Power Chokes offer more solutions to customers from their already extensive line of inductive component offerings.

Chip Inductors
Bourns' three new Chip Inductor models are high current, ferrite multilayer products, comparable to Bourns' well-known CM43, CM32 and CM25 series of wirewound components. The Bourns® CF series offers the same electrical specifications as our wirewounds, but are a more economical choice for lower frequency applications in the industrial, computer and automotive markets.

The inductance range for the CF Series varies from 100 nH to 33 µH. The CF series is available in tape-and-reel packaging, and can be picked and placed by all standard equipment. Based on quantities of 100K, pricing for the CF series begins at $.054 per piece. Sample quantities are offered for evaluation.

SMD Power Chokes
Bourns is also introducing three new SDR Non-Shielded and three new SRR Shielded models of SMD Power Chokes. Serving the telecom, computer, automotive and instrumentation industries, Bourns now offers a range of 29 standard models, with customer specific models available upon request.

The products are available in square, round or oval shape, and assist and support customer applications from sizes of 4mm to 22mm. Bourns' new SRR0618 boasts an inductance range of 2.2 µH to 100 µH and a current range of 270 mA to 2.1 A. With its size of 5.0 mm x 6.3 mm x 1.8 mm, this is the first Bourns model offered at under 2 mm in height.

The Power Chokes are available in tape-and-reel packaging, and can be picked and placed by all standard equipment. Based on quantities of 10K, pricing for the SDR series begins at $.24 per piece, while pricing for the SRR series begins at $.45 per piece in the same quantities.
